    New Delhi: BSA Motorcycles, the iconic British two-wheeler brand, has made its entry into the Indian market, introducing its first bike, the BSA Gold Star. Priced at Rs 2.99 lakh, the Gold Star is set to compete with popular models like the Royal Enfield Interceptor 650. Available through Jawa/Yezdi dealerships across the country, the motorcycle is already generating buzz among enthusiasts. If you’re considering adding this retro-styled bike to your collection, pre-booking is now open at authorized dealerships.

    BSA Gold Star: Color Variants and Pricing

    The BSA Gold Star is available in six distinct color schemes, each offering a unique appeal. Here’s a breakdown of the color options and their respective prices:

    • Red and Green Combo: Priced at Rs 2.99 lakh (ex-showroom).
    • Black and Silver Combo: Priced at Rs 3.12 lakh (ex-showroom).
    • Another Black and Silver Variant: Priced at Rs 3.15 lakh (ex-showroom).

    These prices position the Gold Star competitively within the Indian market, making it a strong contender against other 650cc motorcycles.

    Powerful Engine and Performance

    At the heart of the BSA Gold Star is a robust 652cc single-cylinder, 4-valve DOHC engine. This engine is paired with a 5-speed gearbox, delivering a powerful performance that is sure to excite riders. The engine produces 45 bhp of power at 6500 rpm and 55 Nm of torque at 4000 rpm, allowing the bike to reach a top speed of 160 km/h.

    To ensure a smooth ride, the Gold Star is equipped with telescopic forks at the front and twin shock absorbers at the rear. The braking system is reliable, featuring single disc brakes at both the front and rear, along with a dual-channel anti-lock braking system (ABS) as standard.

    The BSA Gold Star is not just about performance; it also stands out with its classic design and modern features. The bike boasts a twin-pod semi-digital instrument cluster, providing riders with essential information at a glance. Additionally, a USB charger is included for added convenience.

    The design of the Gold Star is a nod to its classic roots, with a teardrop-shaped fuel tank, a round headlamp, and chrome accents on the sides of the tank. The bike also features spoke wheels with tubeless tyres, a single-piece wide handlebar, and a bench-type seat, which ensures comfort on long rides. The seat height is 782mm, making it accessible for riders of various heights, while the curb weight is 201 kg, offering a stable and grounded ride.
