Carens Clavis Offers SUV-Like Experience in MPV Body

Kia is promoting the Carens Clavis as a Recreational Vehicle (RV), which means it gives the comfort of an MPV with some features of an SUV. The new exterior design includes:

    • Split headlamps for a modern front look
    • Star Map LED tail lamps at the rear
    • 17-inch dual-tone alloy wheels
    • Front and rear skid plates with satin chrome finish
    • Metal finish side door accents
    • A fresh Ivory Silver Gloss body colour

These design changes give the Clavis a sporty and premium feel while maintaining its spacious MPV base.

Big Screens and Turbo Engine for Better Driving

One of the biggest highlights of the Carens Clavis is the 26.62-inch dual panoramic display – the largest in this segment. This large screen setup covers the infotainment and driver display area, making it modern and easy to use.

Under the hood, the new Clavis comes with:

    • A Smartstream G1.5 Turbo GDI engine
    • A new 6-speed manual transmission (6MT)

This new setup improves performance and driving comfort on city roads and highways. It’s suitable for both regular commutes and weekend trips.

Loaded with Safety Features and ADAS Level 2 Tech

Kia has improved the safety package in the Clavis by adding ADAS Level 2 (Advanced Driver Assistance System). This includes 20 modern safety features such as:

    • Automatic Emergency Braking
    • Lane Keep Assist
    • Forward Collision Warning
    • High Beam Assist
    • Driver Attention Warning

On top of this, Kia added 18 more standard safety features, making this vehicle one of the safest in its segment.

    Market Insights: What Buyers Prefer

Kia shared some interesting numbers based on previous Carens sales:

    • 58% of buyers chose petrol models
    • 42% of buyers went for diesel variants
    • 32% of buyers prefer clutch-less or automatic transmission (IMT)
    • 28% of buyers choose models with a sunroof

These figures show that Indian customers want more comfort and features, especially things like automatic transmission and sunroof – both now commonly available in mid-range cars.

A Strong Family Car with SUV Touch

With its spacious interior, updated tech and SUV-style looks, the Kia Carens Clavis is designed for Indian families who want a mix of comfort and performance. It sits between an MPV and an SUV, offering enough room for extended trips while maintaining easy driving in cities.

The added ADAS safety tech, turbo engine, giant infotainment screen, and stylish alloy wheels will attract buyers looking for a future-ready family car.
