TVS Motor Company is gearing up to launch the updated version of its popular scooter, the TVS Jupiter, on August 22. Known for its reliability and strong presence in the Indian market, the TVS Jupiter has been a favorite among scooter enthusiasts. The 2024 model promises to bring some exciting updates, although the company has kept most details under wraps.

What’s New in the 2024 TVS Jupiter?

While TVS has not officially disclosed the full list of updates, the teaser for the new Jupiter hints at several cosmetic enhancements. Expect the 2024 Jupiter to feature new apron-mounted LED DRLs (Daytime Running Lights) and integrated front turn indicators. These changes suggest a sportier and more modern design compared to the current model, appealing to a younger audience.

    Engine and Performance

The 2024 TVS Jupiter is expected to retain its 109.7 cc, air-cooled engine, delivering 7.88PS of power and 8.8Nm of torque. This engine has proven to be a reliable performer, offering a smooth and efficient ride. Though no specific details about new features have been confirmed, reports suggest that the updated model could come with a digital instrument cluster, Bluetooth connectivity, and a USB charger, adding a touch of modern convenience to the scooter.

    Price and Variants

The current TVS Jupiter is available in six variants: Sheet Metal Wheel, Base, ZX, ZX Smart Connect, Classic, and ZX Disc Smart Connect. Prices range from Rs 73,650 to Rs 90,573 (ex-showroom). With the upcoming launch, the 2024 model is expected to be priced similarly, offering good value for its segment. Upon its release, the new TVS Jupiter will compete with other popular scooters in the Indian market, such as the Honda Activa 6G, Suzuki Access 125, and Hero Pleasure Plus X-Tech.

TVS Jupiter CNG Version on the Horizon

In addition to the new Jupiter model, TVS is also rumored to be working on a CNG version of the scooter, which could be launched in the coming months. Codenamed U720, this version is expected to feature a 125 cc engine paired with a factory-fitted CNG kit, making it a more eco-friendly option for the Indian market.
