    BSA Gold Star 650 Launched: Pricing, Features, and Specifications

    Delhi, August 15, 2024 – BSA Motorcycles has made a significant return to the Indian market with the launch of its iconic Gold Star 650. The much-anticipated motorcycle was unveiled by Anand Mahindra, Chairman of Mahindra Group, and is now available at an introductory ex-showroom price of Rs 2.99 lakh in Delhi.

    The BSA Gold Star 650 is a masterful combination of timeless British engineering and cutting-edge technology. Known for its rich heritage, the Gold Star 650 carries forward the legacy with a design that appeals to motorcycle enthusiasts who appreciate both classic aesthetics and modern performance.

    The BSA Gold Star 650 comes in several variants, each priced competitively to cater to a range of customers:

    • Highland Green: Rs 2,99,990
    • Insignia Red: Rs 2,99,990
    • Midnight Black: Rs 3,11,990
    • Dawn Silver: Rs 3,11,990
    • Shadow Black: Rs 3,15,990
    • Legacy Edition Sheen Silver: Rs 3,34,990

    Design and Features: A Tribute to British Engineering

    The BSA Gold Star 650 is a visual delight, showcasing a design that harks back to its British roots. Key design elements include an eye-catching fuel tank, a single-piece seat, a round headlamp, and minimalistic indicators. The bike also features a sleek rear profile, a single exhaust, and traditional multi-spoke wheels measuring 17 inches at the front and 18 inches at the rear.

    • Instrument Cluster: Dual-pod analog setup for a retro feel.
    • Braking System: Equipped with Continental dual-channel ABS, Brembo brakes, and dual-disc brakes for superior safety.

    The BSA Gold Star 650 is powered by a 652cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine—the largest in its segment in India. This engine produces a maximum power of 45 bhp and a segment-leading peak torque of 55 Nm, delivering an exhilarating riding experience whether in the city or on the highway.

    Transmission: The bike comes with a 5-speed gearbox, offering smooth shifts and optimal power delivery across various riding conditions.

    Anand Mahindra played a crucial role in bringing BSA back to India. During the launch event, he expressed his enthusiasm, stating, “Bringing BSA to India is like sharing a piece of world motorcycle history with the country.     The BSA Gold Star 650 enters a competitive segment, where it will rival the likes of Royal Enfield’s Interceptor 650 and Continental GT 650.
